Consistent with their vision and mission, GARCO Construction Services has undertaken many projects for both residential and commercial clients much to their delight and satisfaction. Yet, with each passing year, there is always one assignment that stands out for the team at GARCO and in 2017 it was the Copiers and Consumables project.

It was an exciting undertaking as GARCO was able to not only design and build the new formidable structure now located at 6 Ripon Road, Kingston 10; but most importantly to conceptualize the entire solution, and had full reigns of managing the project from start to finish. The technical skills, competencies and expertise of the GARCO team were fully exposed and tested but we ensured that the timelines were met, quality was maintained and above all the clients were truly satisfied.

The Copiers and Consumables project is evidence of the depth and tenacity of what GARCO Construction Services brings to the industry and testimony of our credibility as “The Professionals”. Our commitment and dedication to total quality and continuous improvement are hallmarks of our existence that we continue to value in all our interactions. Hi-Lo re-opens in Liguanea

Lane Plaza, Liguanea, is now home to Hi-Lo's newest supermarket location.

GraceKennedy Limited recently completed renovation of the 33,700 square feet of retail space, previously the home of Empire Supermarket which closed its doors last year.

The store will feature a floral hut, where customers can purchase fresh flowers, a range of ready-to-eat foods such as salads and sandwiches, and a juice bar, the third in the chain.

The budget for renovation was in the region of $100 million, and the complex will also become home to other GraceKennedy subsidiaries, including First Global Bank and Western Union, which will have outlets in the Liguanea area before the end of the year.

Now outfitted with expanded shelf space, new floors, new ceilings, modern lighting, more cash registers and new refrigeration units, customers can shop with ease, comfort and style.

Fully stocked with a wide range of grocery and non-grocery items at competitive prices, Renee Nathan, general manager, Hi-Lo Food Stores division, told The Gleaner that they have been receiving positive feedback from new and existing customers regarding the decor and improved ambience of the store.
